From the very beginning, God’s intention for humanity was not simply to live before Him, but to work with Him. In Genesis, before sin ever touched the world, the Lord placed Adam in the garden “to tend it and keep it” (Genesis 2:15). This was not a curse or a burden — it was a sacred partnership. God formed the garden, but He entrusted its cultivation to man. From the start, heaven and earth were designed to operate together, united in purpose, reflecting divine collaboration rather than human independence.

But here’s the encouraging part: with every faith-testing moment, our spiritual endurance grows, our character is refined, and our trust in God deepens.

Hmmm, things to ponder!

We arrived at the airport late Thursday night with our bags and our kiddos only to find out that our flight was canceled because of a freak accident — a tractor ran into the plane, of all things! So we repacked our ourselves tightly into a small rental car to make the two hour drive to get back home to Arad in the middle of the night. Our flight was postponed till Sunday.

Believe it … or not?

During the first great awakening, revivalist George Whitfield was preaching to coal miners in England. He asked one man, “What do you believe?” “Well, I believe the same as the church.” “And what does the church believe?” “Well, they believe the same as me.” Seeing he was getting nowhere, Whitfield said, “And what is it that you both believe?” “Well, I suppose the same thing.”
