Matthew 6:6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.
Robert A.Cook, president of The King's College in New York, was speaking at the Moody Bible Institute some years ago. He said that the day before, he had been at a gathering in Washington and talked with Vice President George Bush. He went on to say that he later spoke briefly with President Ronald Reagan.
Then smiling broadly, Cook said, "But that's nothing! Today, I talked with God!"
What an amazing privilege it is that the Almighty God, Creator of heaven and earth, Ruler of all, perfect in holiness and righteousness, the One and Only completely and totally just, loving, merciful, omnipotent and omnipresent God — calls us His children and cares for our every little need! Let's give Him the honor He deserves! There's so much work to be done!
