Will you pass the hunger test?

Is there something about miracles that makes them forgettable? Or is the problem with us? After journeying for a season the children of Israel were faced with hunger — another test. This time, naturally faced with starvation, they murmured against the Lord, AGAIN! You’d think they might begin to put it together that God truly wanted them to trust Him. Apparently not yet. The dire circumstances attacked their mass cerebral cortex (memory) and once again they went into attack mode, bitterly complaining in unbelief. The Ten Plagues, the pillar of fire, the Red Sea walk, the Egyptian chariot soup, none of these connected to the present hunger pangs. Nature trumped super-nature, and sadly, God Himself.

The Blood Must Be Applied!

Of course, the celebration of Passover for believers normally emphasizes the revelation of our Passover Lamb — the Lamb of God, Yeshua, who was delivered up, a Lamb without blemish, and sacrificed in our place as an offering for our sins. As Israel celebrates deliverance from slavery, we celebrate deliverance from the bondage of sin. We celebrate knowing that death no longer has power over us since we pass from this temporal world into the eternal when we die.

Are you insured?

In the wake of this historic arctic winter storm and its catastrophic damage, an article came out discussing how this will break all records in Texas as a result! In today’s news, estimates point to a record over $20 billion dollars in insurance claims!

It reminded me of when we first arrived in Israel about fourteen years ago, my wife was almost eight months pregnant…
