<p><strong>1 Corinthians 6:19-20 What? do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have of God, and you are not your own? For you were bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God&#039;s.</strong></p>
<p>As we mentioned a couple of days ago, Chanukah commemorates of the desecration of the holy temple of old, (just another attempt of the enemy to wipe out the Jewish people and the things of God), God&#039;s great grace and the rededication of the temple to Him.</p>
<p>While there is no longer a physical temple today, the Bible declares that we, as believers in Yeshua (Jesus), are living temples of God. But we need to recognize that our enemy is constantly at work, trying to erect idols and desecrate our temple in various ways so that we cannot be used to glorify God. How long has it been since we cleansed and rededicated our temple to the Lord? We should really be be doing it daily!</p>
<p>We want to be more holy &#8212; more pure &#8212; more righteous so that we can be found a peculiar people, a holy nation, a royal priesthood, as the scripture says. Let&#039;s strive to be a people who shine forth the glory of God today! Let&#039;s pull down the strongholds and destroy the idols that pollute us!</p>

<p><strong>Romans 12:2 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.</strong></p>
<p>The high priest of Ancient Israel wore a crown of pure gold on his head called a Nezer, which comes from the word “nazar”. This word &#034;nazar&#034; means to dedicate, consecrate and sacredly separate. The word “nazarite” comes from this root, and describes someone who has taken a vow to be separated from the world.</p>
<p>New Covenant believers are called &#034;a royal priesthood&#034; [1 Peter 2:9], and we also, are called to live a holy life, dedicated to God and separated from the world in our thoughts and intentions. It&#039;s not always an easy task. Our thought life is constantly challenged from within and without. In this battle, the crown of the high priest can be a powerful symbol for us; the beauty and purity of gold standing for the beauty and purity of thinking with the mind of Messiah. Since Yeshua (Jesus) was the perfect &#034;Nazarite&#034;, set apart in absolute purity, His thoughts were always &#034;golden&#034;. In communion with Him by His spirit, our thought life too, can move more and more toward His perfect mind.</p>
<p>Philippians 4:8 says this; &#034; Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable-if anything is excellent or praiseworthy-think about such things. &#034; This, as believers, is our mandate to &#034;positive thinking&#034;. In this world, negativity, cynicism and impurity abound, and it becomes easier and easier to dwell on things that are depressing and sinful, impure and evil. But these thoughts must be cut off and destroyed from our minds. Thoughts of lust, jealously, covetousness, and self-pity will take us away from our Lord, and need to be taken captive before they get a foothold. Replace them with those of Philippians 4:8.</p>
<p>You have the mind of Messiah [1 Cor. 2:16] Choose to know and think with it. Crown yourself with thoughts that are pure as gold by taking control of that ceaseless flow. You&#039;ll be amazed at how your life will change under the influence of Yeshua&#039;s mind!</p>

<p><strong>1 Timothy 6:7 For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.</strong></p>
<p>The great pyramids of Egypt have become objects of fascination for many involved in the New Age teching. Some think they were built by aliens from outer space. Others say they are containers of cosmic power. All of them are trying to find the great &#034;secret&#034; of the pyramids. What they are, really, are structures of death, exaggerated tombstones, coffins. The pyramids were made for death. They were built to house a dead body, along with the useless riches of it&#039;s rotting corpse.</p>
<p>The pyramid holds an important lesson for our lives, however. All the works of our flesh and self-glorification end in waste, destruction, futility and death. Our accomplishments in the flesh might be grand, exalted, and elaborate &#8212; but they&#039;re really just a monument to ourselves that have no life within them. If we want death, let&#039;s look to the flesh and all the glories of man &#8212; look to the pyramids. But if we want life, we&#039;ll only find it by abandoning the flesh, walking in purity and putting our faith in Yeshua (Jesus), the one who gives us abundant life!</p>
<p>Investments in eternity neither rust nor rot, so let&#039;s become wise investors &#8212; investing in the Kingdom! There&#039;s so much work to be done!</p>

<p><strong>1 Chronicles 12:32 And of the children of Issachar, which were men that had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do; the heads of them were two hundred; and all their brethren were at their commandment.</strong></p>
<p><strong>Luke 21:36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.</strong></p>
<p>Among the mighty men of David were those of the tribe of Issachar whose special gift was their understanding of the times, a gift of prophetic insight; and this was such a precious gift because included in their discernment was the ability to know how to apply it. In our time prophecy is everywhere. Yeshua (Jesus) warned us that there would be false prophets in the last days, especially approaching His second coming, and He said the prophecy would be so subtle and the false signs so powerful that even the elect might be deceived if that were possible; [Mt. 24:24] While it&#039;s clear to many of us that we&#039;re living in prophetic days, there are also millions who have no clue of the current times and seasons.</p>
<p>So we&#039;re faced with a challenge and a profound, multi-faceted responsibility: to acknowledge the significance of our times, to awaken others to this reality, to rightly discern true from false prophecy, and to know what to do about the things we rightly discern. Wow! Not an easy task. How do we even begin?</p>
<p>I believe that we have a prophetic &#034;anchor&#034;&#8230;a fundamental sign, missing throughout all of Church history, until our day. This sign is the rebirth of Israel as a nation. Many of the OT prophets foresaw the ingathering of the Jewish people to their ancient homeland in the latter days. [Jeremiah 30; Isaiah 43:5-6; Amos 9:14-15; and many others]. Isaiah prophesied the nation&#039;s rebirth in a single rhetorical question, &#034;Can a nation be born in a day?&#034; [ Isaiah 66:8]. One hundred years ago Israel, (then called &#034;Palestine&#034; by the Romans, as an insult to the Jews), was a barren, sparsely inhabited province in the Ottoman empire, and Jerusalem was hardly ever mentioned in conversation unless someone was reading scripture. Today, Israel is a thriving resurrected nation, reclaimed from desolation, established in one single day, (May 14, 1948), and Jerusalem is in virtually every daily newspaper, the subject of intense controversy throughout the civilized world. This one sign assures me, personally, that we are really and truly living at the end of the age.</p>
<p>I believe we must acknowledge this, share it, WATCH very carefully, and PRAY as the developments in the Middle East conform themselves to the Word of God. The prophetic clock is ticking toward the final hours of this age when the Lord Yeshua will return in power and great glory to judge the entire world of men.</p>
<p>The sons of Issachar understood their times, and knew what to do. Watching and praying, we can too. Preparing ourselves with holy living for the Lord&#039;s return, we must also warn those who live in ignorance of these amazing days by showing them the prophetic sign of Israel&#039;s resurrection, and warning them to repent, believe the gospel, and be accounted worthy to escape all these things and to stand before the Son of Man!</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>Leviticus 23:15-17 &#039;And you shall count for yourselves from the day after the Sabbath, from the day that you brought the sheaf of the wave offering: seven Sabbaths shall be completed. Count fifty days to the day after the seventh Sabbath; then you shall offer a new grain offering to the Lord. You shall bring from your dwellings two wave loaves of two-tenths of an ephah. They shall be of fine flour; they shall be baked with leaven. They are the firstfruits to the Lord. </strong></p>
<p>The Lord (YHVH) commanded the grain offering on Shavuot, (known as Pentecost among Christians), to be made of the finest flour, baked with yeast, that is, leaven. Leaven, in the Bible, is almost universally, a symbol for &#034;sin&#034;, and in the OT is strictly forbidden on the altar of YHVH., yet here, in the Feast of Weeks it is commanded as part of the offering. Just six weeks prior to this festival, Israel had spent a week eating unleavened bread, a clear picture of the connection between the Passover Lamb and the removal of sin from our lives. Now the grain offering for Shavuot contains yeast; two loaves with it. Why? A common interpretation of this for NT believers is that the loaves represent Jews and Gentiles, the two types of redeemed people, who, of course, still contain sin in our lives.</p>
<p>So the sequence of these two spring festivals can be seen to illustrate, on the one hand, our perfect deliverance from sin and death through the Passover Lamb (Yeshua); and subsequently, the reality of our true condition as &#034;leavened loaves&#034; offered to the Lord as &#034;first-fruits&#034;. We know that having come to faith in Yeshua (Jesus), cleansed by His shed blood, we stand righteous and perfect in Him; and yet, we constantly struggle with our Adamic nature. In this light, Shavuot begins to emerge as a festival marking and illustrating the opportunity and means for our transformation. The Lord&#039;s sending forth of His Holy Spirit at this time awakens and empowers us to change; to be inwardly transformed from the old creation into a new creation.</p>
<p>On the day of Pentecost, 2000 years ago, this transformation process was dynamically accelerated and made accessible to every believer. Baptized with the Holy Spirit of God, and with His fire, our sinful nature with all its impurities and &#034;leaven&#034; takes a back seat to the powerful indwelling of the Spirit of Messiah, so that as we continually pray, walk in obedience, and thus cooperate to be filled with His Spirit, we are sanctified and transformed into His likeness &#8211; &#034;from glory to glory&#034;, and so become His effective witnesses. Praise God that He works with our issues&#8211; and is transforming us into a bride without wrinkle or spot! </p>
<p>Allow the Holy Spirit to burn away the impurity of your sinful nature; to purge out the dross, and deeply penetrate your life. The process can be &#034;firey&#034; and involve some painful sacrifices, but the result is purity and the holiness without which no one will see God. And remember that Yeshua is returning soon, greatly anticipating a bride who is prepared for His arrival! </p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>Psalms 51:17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.</strong></p>
<p>The word contrite in Hebrew is &#039;dakah&#039; which means one that is crushed to pieces. Paul wrote of being a &#039;living sacrifice&#039; holy and acceptable to God. Being a living sacrifice means we often can walk off the altar. To be a continual living sacrifice we need to renew our minds day to day! Let your mind be renewed &#8212; off the things which are worldly and onto those things which are Godly. When our minds are focused on those things above, on His holiness, His righteousness, His grace, and His mercy &#8212; we realize that we can always be closer to Him! We understand what Isaiah meant when he said, &#034;our righteousness is nothing but filthy rags before the Lord.&#034;</p>
<p>When God provided for Himself the perfect sacrifice, His Son, 2000 years ago &#8212; His heart bursted! His heart was cut through &#8212; cut for you! God desires you to be a living sacrifice and a necessary ingredient is a heart that has been cut through by God&#039;s sharp knife. When you allow your heart to be continually cut through by God&#039;s Spirit, then your life will be a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable before Him!</p>
<p>It&#039;s wonderful what God can do with a broken heart, especially when we give Him all the pieces!</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>Isaiah 57:15 For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.</strong></p>
<p>I&#039;ve heard so many Christians ask, &#034;How can I get more of the Holy Spirit?&#034; As if the Holy Spirit is some kind of power or force that we can control or weild. What we should really be asking is, &#034;How can the Holy Spirit have more of me?&#034;</p>
<p>We cannot control this power from on high. If we could, then we could be led to pride and strut around as if we&#039;re some kind of &#034;Super Christian&#034;.</p>
<p>But if we recognize that the Holy Spirit is a Divine Person &#8212; and that this Person is actually willing to live in us, we&#039;d greatly be humbled! We must be very honored that the Spirit of God would inhabit these these corrupt vessels of ours and more importantly that He would even consider using us!</p>
<p>It&#039;s only when we empty ourselves that we truly become filled! Let&#039;s empty ourselves of our selfish ambitions and desires today and allow ourselves to become broken before the Lord. We need to be truly filled with God&#039;s Power if we&#039;re going to impact the world for Him! There&#039;s SOOOOOO much work to be done!!</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>Isaiah 40:3 The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our God.</strong></p>
<p>Many believers have a special place, a quiet place where they go to spend time with the Lord. This is a very important thing. But how many believers have actually &#039;prepared a way&#039; for the Lord? As sacred as that special quiet place is to us, it is limited. It has definite boundaries. But a way never ends&#8211;it goes on and on. The key of a life of blessing is not preparing God places to fill, but preparing a way for Him. The Hebrew word for way is &#039;derech&#039;. Derech means a path, or a way of life.</p>
<p>If we want to be blessed, we need to prepare a derech in our lives. We need to develop Godly ways, Godly habits, Godly consistency and practices. We need to turn all our holy places into holy ways that carry on throughout our daily lives. The blessings of God need to flow through us to others around us&#8211; let&#039;s give Him a derech through which to do so. There&#039;s so much work to be done! </p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>Romans 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.</strong></p>
<p>One of my favorite ministers of the Gospel is D.L. Moody. He tells a story about having heard Pastor Henry Varley once say that, &#034;The world has yet to see what God will do with and for and through the man who is fully and wholly consecrated to Him.&#034;</p>
<p>As Moody pondered the pastor&#039;s words, He realized something. Pastor Varley did not say that God would use an intelligent person. He didn&#039;t say an educated person, nor did he say a person who was ultimately gifted. What the wise pastor said was that the person with whom God will work with and for and through will be the person &#034;who is fully and wholly consecrated to Him&#034;.</p>
<p>This radically changed Moody&#039;s ministry&#8230; and ours too, for that matter. We realized that God isn’t looking for people with amazing minds or hands or voices or computer skills. He’s not looking for those who are wearing the nicest suits or dresses at church. And He’s not looking for the people with the highest grade point averages at the local Christian College. What God is really looking for, are people who are simply sold out for Him!</p>
<p>One of the great secrets to a successful walk with the Lord, is understanding total commitment to Jesus. But being totally committed requires us to daily take up our cross &#8212; leave the past behind us &#8212; and despite all the obstacles the enemy tries to throw in our path, press forward for the Lord and His work! Let&#039;s consecrate ourselves to the Lord again today. There’s so much work to be done!</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>2 Corinthians 6:16 And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? for you are the temple of the living God; as God has said, &#034;I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.&#034;</strong></p>
<p>According to ancient Jewish legend, one day Abraham was shown his father, Terah&#039;s room of many idols. When nothing happened, he realized that these idols were nothing more than clay &#8212; they could do nothing for him or anyone else for that matter. So he proceeded to destroy all the idols, except for one.</p>
<p>When Terah received word of this, he went to Abraham and said, &#034;Son, what did you do to my idols?!&#034; &#034;I brought them delicacies,&#034; Abraham replied, &#034;and then the biggest idol became envious of the others, and destroyed them all.&#034; Terah, furious with Abraham, said, &#034;You&#039;re lying to me! How can idols made by my own hands do such things?&#034; &#034;You&#039;re right father.&#034; Replied Abraham, &#034;Now tell me, then, why do we worship idols that can not eat, drink or even move?&#034;</p>
<p>This kind of idol worship may sound far removed from us, but we too, have our idols. They may not be made of clay but they are very real! The love of money, possessions, success, leisure, food, sensuality, security and outward beauty &#8212; the love of tradition and even our friends and family &#8212; the pursuit of our goals and dreams are among some just off the top of my head. Most of these are not bad things in and of themselves, don&#039;t get me wrong. But if we are not careful, they can all easily become idols in our lives!</p>
<p>What is the object of our affections today? What takes up the majority of our time, effort, and resources? These are our idols. Anything that we allow to run our life becomes our god.</p>
<p>There is only One God we ought to be worshiping &#8212; and He will not have any other god&#039;s before Him! Let&#039;s crush our idols today. We need to get right with the Lord so that we may be used mightily for His Kingdom!</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>Jeremiah 33:3 Call to Me, and I will answer you, and I will show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.</strong></p>
<p>In today&#039;s society fast food is making billions. It&#039;s slogans are &#034;have it your way&#034; and &#034;have it hot and and have it now&#034;. How easy it is for us to fall into this &#034;fast food mentality&#034;. It has almost become who we are. But in God&#039;s kingdom there&#039;s no fast food. We can&#039;t always have it our way and now. When we are caught up in this fast food mentality, we lose the true meaning of patience. <p>We need to be patiently waiting on the Lord to answer us in a new way! We cannot shortcut the things of God. If we want a deeper anointing of the Spirit in our lives, we need to avoid this fast food mentality. We cannot have a deeper walk with the Lord without spending time in his Word, without spending time in intimate prayer, without walking in repentance and humility, and practicing a life of holiness. Is this a tall order? Yes, but when we are focused on God and patiently waiting on Him to answer &#8212; He will preparing a blessing beyond our imagination!</p>
<p>Let&#039;s not settle for a hamburger, fries and coke — when the Lord has a delicious, heavenly feast prepared for us!</p>

		<description><![CDATA[Tonight begins the Biblical feast of Sukkot (Feast of Tabernacles) throughout the world!  Roughly 2500 years ago, there was a special Sukkot celebration in Jerusalem. The people of Israel were exiled and dispersed all across the Babylonian empire. Later, they were given the right to return and start construction on the 2nd temple of Israel. Nehemiah 8 speaks of the special celebration that happened at that time. We read how Ezra taught the people out of the book of the law and how they responded in weeping and repentance before the God of Israel.]]></description>
			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>Nehemiah 8:9-10 And Nehemiah, who was the governor, and Ezra the priest and scribe, and the Levites who taught the people said to all the people, &#034;This day is holy to the LORD your God; do not mourn nor weep.&#034; For all the people were weeping, when they heard the words of the Law. Then he said to them, &#034;Go your way, eat of the fat, drink of the sweet, and send portions to those for whom nothing is prepared; for this day is holy to our Lord. Do not sorrow, for the joy of the LORD is your strength.&#034; </strong></p>
<p>Tonight begins the Biblical feast of Sukkot (Feast of Tabernacles) throughout the world!</p>

<p>Interestingly, Sukkot is a holiday in which the people were commanded to rejoice, yet they were weeping in repentance. And then, in verse 9, they did! Isn’t it true that joy always comes after the mourning?</p>
<p>The word for strength in Hebrew is ”mah-oz”. Not only does it mean strength, but it also means fortress and rock. When we commit our lives to walking in repentance and practicing holiness, then we will live in a constant state of joy. As the Apostle Paul said, Rejoice always! In our joy we find our fortress, our rock – the stability of our lives!</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>Hebrews 9:11-12 But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building. Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by His own blood He entered in once into the Most Holy Place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.</strong></p>

<p>Atonement means &#034;covering&#034;. On this day, according to the Scriptures, the High Priest would slay a goat and sprinkle its blood on the Ark of the Covenant so that the sins of the people might be cleansed and they could have favor in the sight of God. This act was clearly a foreshadowing of the covering that would come when Messiah would die for our sins, our perfect and innocent Lamb.</p>
<p>Today, there are no more sacrifices and no more Temple. Yet the religious are convinced that their sins will be atoned for by doing their best to keep the law and doing good works. Sadly, there is only one recipe for true atonement &#8212; trusting in the One of whom was prophesied long, long ago &#8212; Yeshua haMashiach, Jesus the Messiah. His blood has covered over all of us who believe so that our sins might be washed away, that we might have favor in the sight of God and that we might have our names inscribed in the Lamb&#039;s Book of Life.</p>
<p>Let&#039;s take some time to repent and get right with the Lord, ourselves &#8212; allow the Lord to reveal our sins, both known and unknown. Perhaps God will call you to fast and pray along with us for Israel as well. We look forward to the wonderful day when ALL Israel shall be saved!</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>Matthew 24:14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.</strong></p>
<p>Continuing this study of Mashiach Ben Yosef (Messiah &#034;Son of Joseph&#034;), I want to focus on another aspect of the rabbis&#039; understanding; that Mashiach ben Yosef will come first, and prepare the world for the Kingdom of the Lord. According to their teaching he will do this by fighting God’s wars against &#034;Edom&#034;, which is collectively understood as the enemies of Israel in the time preceding the restoration of the Messianic Kingdom by Mashiach &#034;Ben David&#034; . This preparation is known as Ikvot Mashiach <strong><em>– the Footsteps of Messiah</em></strong>. Their expectation was that the entire world would be thus readied for the arrival of Mashiach Ben David, the glorious King.</p>
<p>Messianic and Christian believers understand that Yeshua of Nazareth (Jesus) fulfilled the Old Testament prophecies of Mashiach Ben Yosef in His first coming, and we anxiously await His return to fulfill the role of Mashiach Ben David. During this long interval, we who know Mashiach &#034;Ben Yosef&#034;, the Suffering Servant, Yeshua, (Jesus) also &#034;walk in His footsteps&#034;, preparing the world for His return.</p>
<p>This &#034;walk&#034; also engages us in a war. &#034;Edom&#034; represents the earthly man, the man of flesh, an enemy against whom we struggle daily, facing many battles and obstacles as we prepare ourselves and our brethren in holy living for our expected Bridegroom&#039;s arrival. Walking in His Footsteps means living a life of expectant preparation, and calling others to this walk as we preach the gospel of the coming Kingdom to all the nations.</p>
<p>Let us follow faithfully <em><strong>in His footsteps</strong></em>, fighting in the spirit, the battle with &#034;Edom&#034;, our sinful nature, and winning souls through holy living and sharing the gospel of salvation at every opportunity.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>Proverbs 6:27 Can a man take fire in his bosom, and his clothes not be burned?</strong></p>
<p>June 12, is independence day for the Philippines. In 1991 the day was forever marked by one of the strongest volcano eruptions in history. Mount Pinatubo, dormant for over 500 years, began to erupt, and three days later exploded with twice the power of the 1980 Mount St. Helen&#039;s eruption. The release of power blasted a cubic mile off the mountaintop and the earth shook for eight hours. The eruption produced an ash cloud that rose over 50,000 feet into the atmosphere. If that wasn&#039;t enough, Typhoon Yunga then struck the island nation with fierce winds and torrential rains which mixed with the ash creating what the locals called &#034;Black Saturday!&#034;</p>
<p>The United States was forced to abandon and eventually close Clark Air Force base, located just a few miles from Mount Pinatubo, due to the devastating blanket of fallen ash. When a vulcanologist was asked to account for the widespread damage which sent thousands of American soldiers and Filipinos fleeing, he replied, &#034;When a volcano is silent for many years, people forget it&#039;s a volcano and begin to treat it like a mountain.&#034;</p>
<p>Now here&#039;s a lesson from nature. We should always be aware of how our sinful nature has the potential to erupt. It would be a big mistake to ignore this possibility simply because it has lain dormant for a season&#8230;even a seemingly long one.</p>
<p>Solomon writes a profound statement in his book of Proverbs, which, when paraphrased goes something like this; &#034;Can someone play with fire in his lap without incinerating his clothes?&#034;</p>
<p>The enemy of our souls would love for us to believe that we can somehow play with sin, without it negatively affecting our spirit and our walk with the Lord &#8212; oh how deceptive Satan can be!</p>
<p>D.L. Moody was a fairly simple man and I love the way he dealt with sin. He said, &#034;When you&#039;re thinking sin, think scripture!&#034;</p>
<p>Let&#039;s be on guard! Sin is a dormant volcano which can erupt at ANY moment and set our house on fire. How do we prepare? First, by being aware of the possibility&#8230;then&#8230;;&#034;Thy word have I hid in my heart that I might not sin against thee&#034;. [Psalm 119:11] Let&#039;s meditate upon His Word, allowing it to sink deep into our minds and our hearts, so that the only fire which burns there&#8230;is the fire of God&#039;s Holy Spirit. Amen.</p>

<p>When a Michigan man entered the hospital for tests one day, he never would have guessed what the doctors would find. A routine chest x-ray revealed that the man’s heart was on the wrong side of his chest! Because of a rare reversed-organ condition, his heart was in the wrong place. This is a strange story indeed, although I think some of us suffer from this condition in a spiritual way.</p>
<p>Do you ever find yourself thinking you’re in a good place with the Lord? I haven’t done this sin or that sin in a long time. I’m doing much better in this area of my life than so and so is. I am in leadership in my church or ministry and and I think I&#039;m a better Christian than the people I lead. You know what I’m talking about? We get to thinking we’re in a good place &#8212; a safe place &#8212; home free.</p>
<p>This safe place is a dangerous place! The reality is that Satan wants us to be content in where we are. He wants us to compare ourselves to others and feel we&#039;ve arrived! But we haven&#039;t! God wants us to continually strive to be more like Him! It is only when we come to a place of humility and dependence upon the Lord that we can have a heart that&#039;s truly in the right place.</p>
<p>We need to daily examine ourselves to see if our hearts are where they need to be. Are we depending on God in every way? Are we constantly acknowledging that all we have and are is by His hand of mercy and grace? Let&#039;s stop comparing ourselves to others and our pasts and strive for God’s perfection today!</p>

<p>Picture this &#8212; you come home from a long day of work &#8212; you walk into your living room &#8212; plop down on your couch in exhaustion &#8212; and there in the corner of the room &#8212; your eyes are drawn to something moving &#8212; it&#039;s a rattlesnake! Do you say to yourself, &#034;Oh, I&#039;m too tired to worry about that now, I&#039;ll deal with it later?&#034; Of course not! You&#039;d jump up right away, find a bat or something of the like, alert your family, call the neighbors, call 911, call the fire department and who knows what else! It&#039;s a life-threatening situation!</p>
<p>In the same way, we need to consider it an emergency when a negative thought enters our minds! We immediately need to jump up, put our armor on, alert others and ask for help if needed and take cover in the promises of God! When those unrighteous thoughts enter our minds, we must deal with them immediately &#8212; lest they linger and fester &#8212; and before we know it, poison our entirety.</p>
<p>Sadly this is a battle that continuously rages on. We must renew our minds daily &#8212; and even hourly in order to remain in a place of peace. Let&#039;s not wait &#039;till the enemy has us in his grip! Let&#039;s put him in his place at the first sign of attack!</p>

<p>As we were leaving for Jerusalem this morning, my wife made one of her frequent requests of me – “Honey! Could you take down the trash?” Well, I don’t know about you&#8211; but this is not one of my favorite tasks. Why does it always seem like we guys always get pinned with the dirty work?!(My wife &#8212; and probably many of you ladies out there would probably have a good laugh at that question!) But really, though &#8212; I was sure I had just emptied that trash can two seconds ago! I mean, I turn around and it’s full again!</p>
<p>It amazes me how much garbage our little family makes. But it got me thinking about spiritual garbage. Let’s face it. We live in a world running rampant with spiritual trash. It’s everywhere &#8212; and though we as believers try and avoid it, we step out our front doors and there it is to greet us. As a matter of fact, we don’t even have to step out our doors anymore! The trash has inundated our television, our music, our computers. It’s in our schools and even in our churches! We’re probably so chock full of trash by now, we’re overflowing! I think it’s time we empty our spiritual trash cans.</p>
<p>We have a responsibility to make sure we empty our spiritual trash – and empty it often. Let’s ask the Lord to help us take out this yucky mess and clean us up from head to toe &#8212; that we might be able to do greater things for Him!</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>Luke 10:19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.</strong></p>
<p>Have you ever thought about how much power God releasing in our midst right now? Is it 20%&#8230; 50%&#8230; 100% of His great power?? I would venture to say that God is not even releasing a fraction of 1% of His power today. That might sound crazy to you, but think about it. If He were to release all His power on this earth, don&#039;t you think that sin would be completely destroyed and righteousness and holiness would abound?</p>
<p>God is an all-powerful, all-encompassing God, and there is no limit to what He can do. He chooses to release His power through His saints &#8212; through sinners that have been washed by the blood of the Lamb! We have access to amazing power from on high &#8212; but we have to be open vessels, allowing the anointing of God to flow through us!</p>
<p>The power to tread upon serpents, scorpions and every power of darkness has been given to us! Let&#039;s pray like we&#039;ve never prayed before! And allow the Lord to use us as vessels through which His power can be released! There&#039;s so much work to be done!</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>John 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.</strong></p>
<p>Have you ever heard about how the Eskimos kill wolves? You&#039;re not gonna believe this one!</p>
<p>First the Eskimo coats the blade of his knife with animal blood and allows it to freeze. He then adds and freezes more layers of blood, several coats, in fact, until the blade is completely covered with frozen blood. Next, he plants his knife in the snow, the blade facing up and goes about his business.</p>
<p>When a wolf finds his way to the luring aroma of fresh blood, he starts licking. Then more and more vigorously, lapping it until the sharp blade of the knife is exposed. However, by this point, so intense is his craving for the scrumptious blood, that the wolf does not notice the sharp sting of the blade on his own tongue, nor does he even realize that his ravenous craving is now being satisfied by his very own blood! By light of dawn, the Eskimo will find him laying dead in the snow.</p>
<p>Sin entices and seduces us in precisely the same way. Satan lures us to the place where he plans to ravage us with some sort of destructive fleshly pleasure &#8212; gossip, rage, sexual sin, etc. Once we give in to it&#039;s lustful pleasures, our craving for it increases. When we continue to allow ourselves to indulge, it grips us all the more. And before we know it &#8212; it completely consumes us. Our friendships are damaged. Our marriages are broken. Our testimony, spoiled. Satan has come only to rob, kill and destroy.</p>
<p>Let&#039;s begin recognizing our enemy&#039;s tactics upon us! There is no more time to give in to his destructive ways! We must strive to walk in holiness and righteousness for the glory of God&#039;s Kingdom! There is so much work to be done!!</p>
