I struggle so much with this issue. There is a huge disconnect for me in reading the Bible. I just dislike it. I don't find it enjoyable. I don't even like what I find there. So I tend to try to build my faith from people's stories, and what I learn, and science, and philosophy. I've done everything BUT read the Bible and give it a legit sincere attempt. How do you make yourself do something which you dislike? Having faith and a better relationship with God should be all the motivation I need, but sadly, it doesn't seem to be enough. Any advice?
